It shifts hard, it doesn''t overheat, and it''s still full of fluid. I would like to testify that I have no trouble with the transmission at all. He''s looking to get a 700R4 for his vehicle. I have already referred my brother who has a 1979 Z28. It''s more than enough than I need for my car. It was made with 500 HP and 500 pounds of torque. I purchased my transmission a few years ago and I am very, very happy with it.

I made an incorrect call of the flywheel and they had the flywheel there the next day. I was very inexperienced at putting a 700R4 into a car but everytime I called the tech line, they had all the correct answers the first time and I had no wait time on anything. I wasn''t looking into making major modifications to the car because it is pretty clean and fast but everything fit really nicely. Going from the Turbo 350 to the 700R4, the ease of installation was all that I had hoped for. It is one of the best and strongest transmissions I have ever put into a car and ever driven.

Setting the TV cable just took a second to make sure it was done correctly but it came out very nice. Everything was a perfect fit.The ease of installation and the wiring was very simple. All the products I was sold, the crossmembers, flywheel, etc., came out perfect. The transmission is, in my opinion, bulletproof. I put the Monster Transmission in with the 700R4. I just put together a 1968 Camaro with an Edlebrock engine. Please Contact Us to purchase a proper speedometer gear for your application or if you are unsure if your tail-housing will need to be reused. In most cases, you will be required to swap your original tail-housing (this will NOT void your warranty). Certain vehicle specific tail-housings may not be available with this unit. This Monster 700R4 Transmission does not come equipped with a new Speedometer Gear. *Special Note: If you are planning a direct transmission swap it is recommended to re-use your existing tail-housing and speedometer gear for your new unit. If you don't already have one, we recommend getting a 700r4 transmission cooler when you purchase a 700r4 transmission. Converting from a Turbo 350 or Turbo 400 3-speed to the 700R4 Monster transmission may also increase the value of your vehicle.

The 700R4 is a popular transmission swap for muscle car restorations to add the overdrive option & to update to a modern transmission. The 30% overdrive will give a 30 to 40% increase in gas mileage on the road when compared to a 3-speed transmission.
The 700R4 has a 3.06 ratio in first gear, which is 20% lower than most transmissions. When you use the manual gear selection feature, the Mega Monster upshifts and downshifts when you move the shift lever, (please note, in order to have complete control of the RPM shift timing you must upgrade to a full manual valvebody). In either mode, you get a racetrack shift that bangs through the gears giving you all the right to say "Eat My Shift!". Equipped with a Manual/Automatic valve body, most units allow you to manually shift the vehicle into each gear change or, by placing it in the drive position, remain fully automatic. It is ideal for vehicles powered by Small Block engines producing up to 500 horsepower(450tq) with a naturally aspirated system using pump gasoline.
